Hi all, so long story short, I plan to take a single Friday and the following week off at the end of October (so six days). I told my boss on September 8th that I needed these days off. I figured 50 days notice was plenty of time ahead to have no issues.
However, now they're saying that it's a busy time and they need me and asked if I could consider taking off the week prior. Problem is, it's already paid for, I'm going with a large group who already got all their PTO's approved, and we're attending events that are time specific, so moving the days is pretty much non-negotiable.
My boss said she would bring it back up with her boss and see what she says. I'm now nervous because what if they straight up deny me? Has anyone been in a similar situation? I like my job and where I'm working so I don't want to create any tension here but damn I really want to go on this trip!
Any advice would be appreciated!
