I’m currently abroad enjoying a week of well earned vacation time. After a long day of sight seeing, I check my personal email to see what’s up. I find a job posting platform’s list of recommended jobs, open it, and see my company is hiring in my department without my knowledge. The job was posted the first day of my vacation and the position is reporting to my coworker not me even though I’m in charge of that department in our small company (under 10 employees).
Am I wrong to think they’re terminating me to hire someone more junior (the posting asks for only 6 months of experience)?
How do I bring this up to my coworker or my boss when I get back?
