hi all. i started my current job as an in-office assistant in mid-june. i just finished my probation period and saw that a position in accounts payable opened up, and it’s remote. i’m in school for accounting so i know i’m qualified for the position. i also don’t want to be an assistant forever.
is it a bad idea to try to switch positions so soon? would it make me look bad? i feel like my bosses will be annoyed with having to train a brand new person for my assistant position so soon, and they might think i’m not a team player or something
