I literally just started a job two weeks ago. It was my third day working alone as security in an empty building with some old man. He was talking about some weird stuff and randomly started telling me about his sex life, how he hadn’t had sex in five years etc.
He started talking about murders and stuff at one point so I mentioned that I ended up getting dragged into a bad situation, a karaoke bar that turned out to be a cover for human trafficking. I guess he took that as an invitation to talk about his experience going to sex clubs and just went on and on about having a lot of sex when he was young.
I told my boss, and I really feel like I shouldn’t because it became this messed up situation. They sent the guy home while we were both at work. I panicked and left because they told me to stay away from him and they have decided to no longer have us working together.
Now I’m getting sent to the office to do harassment training because the guy told them that I started the conversation by talking about “sex slaves”.
I just feel like a massive idiot, like maybe I should have put up with his stories and not caused this complicated situation? I also feel like I ruined the dudes life by getting him fired or switched somewhere else (not sure what they did with him.) my coworker said he lives paycheck to paycheck with his daughter and grandson so I feel bad.
My boss wanted me to go on my day off to do this training and sign even more paperwork. The office for the company is an hour away from my house and an hour back then I have to go to work after. I don’t get paid for going.
This is just all bad. I wish I could take it back. Work totally sucks now, and in general anyway
