i feel like i’m stuck at a job that i hate..

so i work at chick-fil-a and next month will make 8 months. i’m actually a rehire at my same location because i left last year due to a tension with me and a very liked shift lead and while i told my supervisor, i known for sure 95% it wouldn’t change anything so i left. i left and went to work at my local movie theater and while i loved my job there i’ve decided i wanted to buy my own car and i would barely get scheduled so i left after 5 months. i applied to other places without any luck and while chick-fil-a was my first job i did get a decent pay raise and i got good hours so i bit the bullet and asked the owner of my store could i get my old position back and he surprisingly said yes. not to make this post…

not to make this post too long, as i’ve went back in february i guess half of the kitchen remembered me and i guess word got around of the tension so barely anyone spoke to me, i guess they didn’t like me.. luckily that shift lead left after two months of me being back. after he left some of the original staff opened up to me after finding out i’m actually a nice person.

it’s been some ups and downs.. in may i’ve gotten literally screamed and cursed at by a shift lead who made it obvious he didn’t like me because i couldn’t communicate i was holding on chicken due to me helping a new hire.. i don’t know why i didn’t just walk out that night but luckily he did get fired shortly after.

july i finally brought my first car. it’s always been a car that i wanted to be my first car but it’s financed. while the payments are doable with my chick-fil-a salary but it’s times i wish i would’ve just gotten a cash car from facebook marketplace.. so i could’ve been cut ties with this hell of a job that treats the guest so nice and sweet but treats the employees like shit.

things has been downhill ever since.. a bunch of new hires that are sometimes thrown on a position without any training, it’s times where they completely leave me by myself on my position for a brief amount of time or even watch two or three other ones.. they always have me scheduled to train during dinner… if you know chick-fil-a it’s one of the most if not the busiest time of day, and they keep scheduling me every day of the week now so i no longer have a random day off during the week… so i don’t even have a good work life balance to do stuff during the week.

i’m so depressed.. but i’m holding off solely because i know i can comfortably pay my car payment and my insurance with this job. i’m scared if i went somewhere else i’m worried about job security or taking a pay cut.

the original plan was to work at chick-fil-a part time while i was attending my community college but i kinda put college on the back burner to work at chick-fil-a full with more hours so i could buy a car but now i’ve gotten myself stuck 🙁

i know it’s just fast food but i don’t wanna default on my loan and screw up my moms credit also.. as she was nice enough to co-sign for me. that’s also why i feel extremely stuck.
