I got asked “Why don’t you ever answer your phone when we try calling you?”.

I was doing something and my manager asked me a question. She was like “Can I ask you something?” And I was like “Sure”. But, in my mind I'm like “Here we go”. So, she asks me “why don't you ever answer your phone when we try calling you”. I was instantly like hmmm and ha. I was like “If I'm not working I'm either busy doing something on my free time or I am sleeping. I am not obligated to answer my phone when I'm off the clock. The only reason you guys would be calling me is either to ask me to cover someone's shift or come in earlier. Which I don't want to do neither.” After she was like “you answer it for the other manager”. The other manager is my friend and I respect her so of course I'm going to see what's up when she…

She's part of the few people I actually like there. But even then it's a false narrative cause a lot of the times I don't even answer to her. The reality here is if I'm off the clock don't bother me. Unless you want to pay me to answer my phone don't bother me.
