So my boss just informed I will not be getting the promotion and it will be given to my co worker. As we are both equally qualified and I've been here longer this was his reason.
“Well we figured you would be to busy with everything you have going on outside of work”
Ie hobbies? What?!
I have many hobbies I love and talk about. My co worker does not. As my hobbies have never interfered with work they literally just wanted someone with no life to throw themselves and all their energy into the role. This is not uncommon others here work 40+ hrs on salary and their lifes are limited
Reminder. Companies dont care about you and your allowed to have a life outside of work and a life that doesn't revolve around work. The perfect employer is one with no life and only lives for work.
