management has become a useless do nothing position. all the training and tasks have been passed on to employees.
back when i entered the work force if an employee called off the other employees did not have to find a replace or do extra work.. the gap was filled by the supervisor.. that was the entire point of having a supervisor in the first place.
now the employees that do show up are just expected to do everything. or THEY get in trouble for not picking up the slack they didnt cause.
job applications are way more miserable than they need to be.
personality tests and other dumb shit. i went to apply for a job and the application said it would take any where from 30-60 minutes to complete.. uh.. no..
either let me just submit my resume.. or make your shit as simple and quick as possible. wtf
every job wants open availability, some will even lie just to get your hired then start scheduling you whenever they want. this has personally happened to me.
there is not a worker shortage.. jobs are just fucking useless and miserable. its almost like they are going out of their way to be as unappealing as possible.
