Today was my first day back to work after having a major panic attack 2 weeks ago. I feel great! My doctor has me on new anxiety meds and I started my day with a meeting to catch up with my manager (s) where I set new boundaries. Instead of dialing in and working from 5 AM to 6 PM I've informed them my hours are 7 AM to 4 PM henceforth. I can't help we're shorthanded because all the old people are retiring rather than attempt to wrap their minds around all the system changes and other teammates are jumping ship to move to other departments because they're tired of the catty wars they've had with each other. I'm one person. I get no overtime pay for the effort and the raises don't even cover the increase in insurance. I'm taking back my hours to do things for ME for a change.
