At my job, Labor Day is a paid holiday. I got horribly sick that weekend, so paid holiday was Monday and I also called off on the following Tuesday and Wednesday. Returned to work on that Thursday. The following week I was informed that I would not be receiving my holiday pay because the handbook states that if anyone calls off the day after a paid holiday, they forfeit the holiday pay. I live in Indiana. Just wondering if this is legal.
