My boss decided to cut my bonus in half without explanation.

During the last month I ended up calling out one day. During that same week I had already covered another shift that I was not scheduled for and so for the entire week I was about 3 hours short of what I am salaried for. I'm the store manager and generally I'm happy to go above and beyond because of the store is like a home to me and the people are like a family to me. I always thought that the owner had my back but now I feel pretty betrayed and I'm going to get the other manager to be on my side so that we can discuss changes in policy to establish clear expectations and boundaries on both sides. He really fucked with the wrong person because I will not be taken advantage of and if he's not looking out for my best interest it is just…

Bonuses were always considered as discretionary based on whatever arbitrary rules he decided we're relevant and either that's going to change or I'm going to walk. I'm a valuable asset and I deserve to be treated right.
