A friend just got a job in retail at a large chain. He's pissed that the place is a union shop (it's a state without right-to-work) because he has to pay dues. What the fuck? A couple of us have tried to convince him that he is getting a pretty good deal, but all he sees is the bill for the one-time union dues payment. Not the benefits that come from it. This is a college-aged guy who is royally pissed that he has a unionized part-time job in retail lmaooo. I am not sure this man knows what a union even does. Thoughts?
