When I started working (cashier) I was just told to get signups and make sure ppl who have it already put in their number, it's free so it's not hard but some ppl hear rewards and think credit cards so I wasn't even trying with half the customers.
A week and a half into this job, my manager walks past me as I'm checking out a customer and once I finished he said
“you didn't ask for rewards?”
“No” (they got one thing)
“You know that affects scheduling”
And you're just now telling me a week and a half in?? So for the next two weeks I was trying to get these rewards up, I then realized it's not that easy; I have to get above 60%. Half my customers come in for one thing they needed for their office, it also doesn't depend on the value of the transaction; I had a customer come in and spend $1400 on supplies and whatnot, bought a scanner, a bunch of keyboards/mouses etc etc… The next customer came up and DIDN'T have rewards meaning I had nothing to prove for the $1400 transaction. No commission, no rewards number, nothing. All because the guy behind him didn't have it and didn't want to hear it.
Even still last week I got my % up to 76! Next week's schedule should be awesome! Nope, less hours then my past two weeks… Seriously wth man, all of my managers are putting the blame on corporate meanwhile idgaf who's to blame I gotta pay BILLS
In conclusion, FUCK these rewards numbers, if you don't ask me I'm not gonna bring it up and if it affects my hours, so what? They just pick and choose anyways
