I started almost 2 months ago at the largest sporting goods store in the world, I'll let you figure out what 1 sporting goods store exists that I'm talking about. I'm a full-time student and moving into an apartment with my GF at the end of October. I told them I needed between 25-30 hours to pay rent, food, etc. They agreed to that and every week have cut my hours and are now giving me 5 hours a week. I've spoken to multiple managers, and all I hear is that everyone struggles for hours. When I went to the store manager, he said he had no idea I needed more hours and would “load me up with hours.” But here I am still getting more hours cut. And yet, they have open positions in my department. Currently looking for a new job, but nothing pays well enough for me to live on.
