So I'm applying to Help desk/ IT support jobs at local colleges in hopes to get an it position where I can also continue my academic education on the side. I have 3 applications ready to go, they all require I supply 3 references, I have an old manager I'm waiting to hear back from, I don't want to use anyone from my current job as they are not aware that I am looking at other opportunities. As much as I know that it is disingenuous to lie about references I'm past the point of caring, the job I have now works me until I'm past the point of being mentally drained and I need to start making moves in my own interest. If anyone would be interested in being an old coworker or manager of mine I would really appreciate it, I dont like to ask strangers for favors but I tried reaching my old managers at trader joe's regarding this and havent heard back in over a week and I want to get my application in sooner rather than later.
