I worked an 8 hour shift without a lunch break the first day as a mortuary transporter about 5 weeks ago. I quit the day after and I didn't hear shit about getting my paycheck for weeks so I called them. The lady said she would tell the boss. A week later I call again and she says she will leave him a note but I should call again when he's in. I call two days later (yestersay) and they say if I stop by from 9 to 5 today I can get it.
So I drive 35 miles on an almost empty tank, with -$6 in my account to pick up my check. Turns out their power got shut off so they can't print it out for me. They said they will mail it. I'll have enough gas to get back home, but then I have to drive to my new job tommorow and also buy myself lunch, and I don't have any money. What should I do?
