management has been acting weird am I going crazy?

My boss over the past year has been constantly reassuring us that there will be no layoffs.Its nice but nobody's really asking about it we know the risk. It's as if they go out of their way to reassure us everytime something new happens lately and it's got me thinking….do y'all think a layoff might actually be right around the corner? It just feels weird…
