God I hate it so much. What even is this?
Go through k-12th and instantly expected to jump right in college to pick a career you may or may not even end up liking. But yeah, you pick one career you're supposed to do right outside of college and may not even land it. Spend a few or longer time working customer service style jobs that will never pay enough. Even if you do manage to get your career job, what? Do that for 50-60 years every single day and MAYBE retire. But when it comes to retirement you're so tired, exhausted, and drained to even actually enjoy it. Then you're dead.
This shouldn't be how humans function. You have so many things in the world and one body yet we're expected to give it all way to this whole “career” and get burnt out at a young age.
My temp position that “was under the impression of going permanent” got pulled out underneath me and is ending at the end of October and I have no idea what to do next. Apply to another job that I'm still going to miserable in and treated like shit? Cant seem to survive if you're not working non-stop.
Mainly venting post as my boss once again pissed me off. But tips too? Is it just best to keep applying once again? Man, is this ever gonna end?
