Working to live is problematic even if you like your job.

I was recently laid off. I liked the job well enough, and I really liked my co-workers. But here I am, unemployed at no fault of my own. Even in good circumstances, having to work to live just sucks, and we need systemic change. The incentives right now are for people/companies to fight each other to see who can take up the most space at a landfill just to be able to afford food/shelter while staying too occupied to worry about extremely large issues. I hate that getting a good job is considered the safe route. It’s literally part of what’s leading to the fall of our civilization; we need to prioritize health and happiness. We need to end slavery and gluttony I want to see a world where we realize we can have that and more. I’ll be using this time to focus on school, look into starting a…

I want to see a world where we realize we can have that and more. I’ll be using this time to focus on school, look into starting a company, and yet also yes, apply for other jobs that I would like/provide good experience.

It just sucks that there’s no option to get outside of that unless we all choose to on a fundamental level in our society
