Need to rant a little about work and antiwork seems like the best area.
I am scheduled for 3 days a week in childcare, I have one full day and then set time for shift ends so I can go to collage and my one personal activity.
Three times in the 2 months I have been employed they have called me to extend my end time so I miss out on a collage lecture (3hrs), or called me to work on a day I have asked not to work (collage assessment focus days or lecture mid-day for 3hrs).
Had a talk to boss and they said basically “we can't be at fault for calling you to stay longer. We have people sick and others studying.”
Told them straight up that if I need to keep sacrificing my study, which I have half of next year and I'm finished, I will make sacrifices and study will not be sacrificed.
They then belittled me by saying “you need to know what is important to you and set them as your priorities”.
Was not a good day the other day.
