Anyone else notice fast food jobs tend to pay more than more “professional” jobs. In my area dairy queen, a fast food burger joint I don't want to name because location, in n out, chipolte type of fast food place all pay $15 to Start. They don't you to really jump through any hoops before getting hired. Cashiers make around $13 at most stores and a lot of mom and pop fast casuals make $15 (coffee shops, simple burger joints, food trucks)
There's a bank teller job that starts at $12 an hour, and the mental health tech / ABA therapist jobs start at $14, caregivers in nursing homes make $11 to $13 to start (without the cna or med aide licenses), preschool /daycare employees get anywhere from $8 to $11. These jobs also want you dressing professionally, doing background checks and fingerprints, paying for your own certification, renewing /getting your CPR BLS certificate, and some of the daycare and ABA therapy jobs want you driving your own care to pick up kids or work in the client's home.
I just think it's interesting that the fast food Jobs pay a little more to start. My brother applied for security and CO jobs though they start at $18 an hour.
