So I am conflicted as I am a fellow worker and just genuine human being.
I work in IT at a small company this past year and I have helped any and every user. I treat everyone with respect and I am nice and try to be helpful no matter who comes asking for help (be it manager or low employee).
The company had lost a manager who quit last minute, they had to refill the role with an outsider.
The company let him in and gave him the reigns already (been 2-3 months now maybe).
He already treats and talks his employees like he owns them, can't be late 1 minute otherwise reprimanded.
-have to be always producing.
-No phones even outside in the open (on their desk)
-micromanagy as fuck
-talks bad about his employees sometimes
-requested me to give him a report of internet usage
It's just obvious to see morale is way down and he mistreats his team. Sadly company is so small they let managers rule over their teams like gods and nothing gets questioned….
I'm conflicted as everyone under his team are nice people but I'm sad for them and how shitty this company just allows it.
Prob will look for a new job I don't like being near that noice
