After issuing a decree last week that everyone must work 10 hour days (6am-4:30pm) monday through saturday for the entire rest of the year, now they are saying the overtime will last for “the foreseeable future” and that the next couple weeks we need to be prepared to stay until 9 or 10pm.
I feel suffocated and almost sick with stress. All this is no fault of our own, we are behind because of supply issues and poor management. I have been looking for a new job but can't find anything that fits my availability without taking a significant pay cut. The kicker is I used enjoy the work I do (building and assembling) but management has completely killed that. Meanwhile my fb feed is filled with old friends and acquaintances getting married and going on trips abroad or buying houses and cars and to put it as nicely as I can, I feel like taking a long walk off of a short pier. Fuck this shit
