Am i supposed to do whatever I’m told to?

This is kind of a rant but I'll appreciate if you tell me something helpful. I'm employed as a technician, but my direct boss is also in charge of hand workers. They've telling me (and my fellow technicians) to give 'support' doing the workers job whenever they want. They've been doing so even when i have my own things to do, and they'd even call us for overtime and Saturday only to then tell us that we have no work to do and we should aid the line instead. They expect us to be compliant and do as they say, and now that I'm refusing they had been reprimanding me for it. And to clarify all my coworkers (technicians) agree that we shouldn't have to do any of that, but they don't want to get problems. Do you think they can rightfully apply a disciplinary sanction for it? Or what…

Do you think they can rightfully apply a disciplinary sanction for it? Or what should I do in this case? I don't want to lose my job but i also don't want to keep with this nonsense.
