I know this subreddit is mostly american. But I found amazing how whitecollar jobs found better labor condition (not wages) in Mexico than in the US. Is like wait what? thats legal in the US??
I want this post to show you that LATIN AMERICA sometimes have better law regulations.
For example:
- you can get fire by text?? Here in Mexico firing people is expensive and need to be with formal paperwork. I have a couple of friends that management was begging them to quit because they couldn´t afford to pay the “fired payment”.
- Out of labor harrasment. We work a lot, we lived in the office (9-5 is a myth here is more a 9-7 with two hours to eat in the middle) but it is well know that after we leave the office we cannot be bother.
I don´t know, you earn more but living here is cheaper. Also, is amazing how we have a better health system than you. Look how many americans cross the border to get health or dental treathments.
