So, like the rest of us, I am f***ing tired of being the hardest working employee at my job, as well as a licensed practitioner, and only making a few cents above minimum wage. If im going to have to work for minimum wage until I finish my degree, I would at least like the luxury of working from home that basically every single person outside of retail gets now.
I am a licensed esthetician working in retail right now as an esthetician. I am working on my degree, majoring in fashion merchandising, which is a degree that can be used to get jobs in product development or as an assistant cosmetic buyer for a company. I'm very interested in the science of skincare but also really good at administrative stuff and staying organized and productive. Can anyone think of any type of job that I could look for while finishing my degree? My only job experience has been retail and warehouse work, plus working as a facialist/Lash artist/ waxer when I was a student of esthetician school.
A side note: I live in Seattle, where the minimum wage is quite a bit higher than the federal or even state min wage, so I can't work for an out of state company if they are offering their min wage. It just wouldn't be enough to live on.
