I work for a psycho prick who shows up to his business one afternoon every two weeks and spends most of the 4 hours bullying all his staff. He started the business years ago by taking advantage of corruption and nepotism in our city. He is a lazy prick who doesn't do shit and only siphons wealth off of the productivity of his managers and employees. I am one of the managers.
I started working here two years ago. I am extremely good at my job. During the first 6 months I set up a series of forms and templates that allow me to cookie cutter automate 75% of my responsibilities. For the last 1.5 years I have been showing up to work, browsing the internet from morning until 4pm, and then doing 1.5 hours of work before going home. Some days I do less than 30 minutes of work. Today I did about 5 minutes of work. Nevertheless I manage to deliver all my responsibilities and nobody knows.
After about a year at my job, I got to the point where knew the ropes of our local market very well. During the last few months I have started my own side business while sitting in my office pretending to work. It will take some time to get it profitable, but I hope to quit my job soon. I run a critical function in the company and nobody else knows how to do what I do. The day I quit my job this place is going to catch fire like the dumpster that it is.
