Hei. I had been recently unemployed and I was sending my resumes around and going around restaurants and caffees to ask if they have any positions avalible.
I was actually really suprised that couple of them told me they really need help, but do not have the money to pay people. And they told me that they are searching for a volunteer to work, a normal 8 hour workday. With no pay, but they offer experience and a nice recomendation letter.
I really do not get that, why would someone work in a caffee or restaurant just for free.
I even got one offer for a half of the minimum salary.
It is a hard I get it in this corona times, but come on.
