Does anyone have experience with this? They said it was for “employment verification”, but that's bs imo.
I'm in NC, so its not prohibited to ask for it here but it is not for a financial job either. The job ad was for data entry and order entry. It didn't even mention processing credit card payments. I've worked accounting clerk jobs that didn't ask for this. I feel like if they want to verify I can legally work in this country, a background check would do…or even my passport…SSN…i have so many better documents to prove I can legally work in the US. Like what would my credit scores even do for them?
