My work has NEVER been open on Sundays. It was announced recently that we can volunteer for Sundays, and for double pay.
But there's a hitch. You are required to work 5 days the week prior, and the double pay isn't double pay. If you are into overtime (1.5x) they just give you the other half of pay to call it “double”.
So if I'm only at 35 hours when starting Sunday and I work 6 hours, I only get double pay for an hour.
It's like they are dangling a carrot in front of you the just pulled out of their ass.
