I showed up for what was supposed to be a scheduled interview for a Manufacturing Lead Hand position. I enter a room with dozens of people sitting in chairs all stuffed together, no social distancing whatsoever. One angry man asks the receptionist “how long will I have to wait? I've been here an hour already.” The receptionist then told him “Indeed made a mistake scheduling interviews for specific timeslots, its an all day job fair and we expect you to wait here all day.” Every single person in the room had scheduled a specific time slot for an interview at Septodont in Cambridge ON, AND got text message reminders to be there for an interview at that specific time! I asked the room “Who has been waiting here over an hour?” and half the room's hands went up. One woman stated “My interview was supposed to be at 9:30am” it was 11:20am when I arrived for my purportedly scheduled “11:30am” interview. Indeed did not make any mistakes, this employer made a mistake by not following through with their scheduled interviews and instead handing every candidate a nametag with a number on it. I felt like I was livestock in a cattle auction. If this is how they treat their interview candidates, I cannot possibly imagine ever wanting to work for a company like this. This is extremely disorganized and unprofessional. Clearly they only want suckers working for them who would wait 2 hours past a scheduled interview time. I didn't waste more than 10 minutes in that room, got in my car and went home.
