Howdy folks
It's just come to my attention that a couple colleagues are being fired Friday. Part of some bullshit “headcount” exercise that my company doesn't want to call a layoff, but they're going department to department axing folks with no notice.
I had heard that if you can demonstrate a desire to collectively bargain for compensation or other, that you are protected without belonging to a union, but I have no evidence that that's the case.
Anyone know the specific protections guaranteed to individuals not in a union but attempting to negotiate as a group?
One of the poor folks hasn't even been here a year, is a huge part of the community though, and has a little kid. Hell the Fucking CxO team went to her kids lemonade stand this summer.
