Background : Have a year of service writing for power-sports under my belt, couple months of auto service writing.
Get hired on to a local Ford dealership for the parts counter after telling the director I am under qualified for the technical knowledge of the role. Reorganize their inventory, start doing cycle counts, purged their “non inventory parts”. Note I come from a retail inventory background. Despite being late due to a variety of personal issues like dying parent… I was let go due to organizational issues, from a company who's parts manager didn't know what a cycle count meant and a director that could not properly add parts to an order. I was already looking for an out – the auto industry is filled with bigots and this particular dealership was proud of their theocratic nationalist bigotry.
On the plus side, I might have an in to explore programing through an immediate family member and my friend has made being a sleep tech vary appealing. Either way I got 14 weeks to figure out my next move. Wish me luck y'all!
