I work at a shitty Mexican/ American restaurant as a waitress, that is so unprofessional. We had a mandatory waitress meeting on September 26, it was originally at 3pm but then they changed it that day ( they sent out the changed time around 9pm) to 1pm. I did not see the messages because my phone is on do not disturb and I knew that we had a meeting at 3pm. But I didn’t know they changed it to 1pm. On the 26th, around 1pm I was in the shower getting ready. When I got out I noticed my phone had a shit ton of missed calls and my coworkers asking me where I was and why am I not at the meeting. I was told them that it is at 3pm. And they said no it was at 1pm. I went to the work group chat and read the messages and saw how it changed. Either way I didn’t care because they changed it last minute and I didn’t think I was in the wrong. I spoke to my boss about at work and he was upset and told me I shouldn’t have my phone on dnd, I told him straight up, it’s none of his business what I do with my phone. Either way, after that I didn’t let it bother me. Now tell me why they did the exact same shi two day later. It’s my day off, my phone is on dnd and I’m with my grandmother. Around 3pm I finally was able to get on my phone and boom, guess we had another meeting. But this time I ain’t putting with their shi. I called my coworker to ask what the meeting was about. They said just simple shit of course then she mentioned how my boss was sneak dissing me by saying, “ I guess she obviously doesn’t need a job if she can’t come to the meetings” bro imma quit.
