Contractor’s contract ended but no one told him.

I work for a mega Corp. We hire a lot of contractors. The mega Corp has decided not to renew any contractors. One of the people on my team was supposed to be told his contract would end yesterday. He showed up to work today. Turns out no one had informed him his contract would not be renewed.
