My work place has been recently pushing everyone back to work in the office and have been on everyone's ass about. Today i had somebody lecture me like a child just for coming into work 30 minutes late. It's not like I don't work at all in the morning. I actually work on my laptop for a bit in the morning before leaving office, the reason why I came a little bit late was to avoid unnecessary traffic. Leaving at 7 or 8 means that I will have a 2 hour commute whereif I just leave my house an hour later, I can shorten my travel by 1 hour. It's absurd that the company doesn't understand the employee's perspectives with how much time and gas they can save (especially in a time of exponentially rising gas prices). Funny I've been here for 4 years of my life and have gotten zero promotions when this company BOASTS that we're a “FAMILY” in all their bullshit speeches. When our company had a lack of staff, I stepped up and was willing to take on new responsibilities however my company didn't want to waste resources training me and would rather hire a stranger. How am I ever able to advance in my career if you guys keeping me at this level forever? Getting yelled at today was my breaking point, I'm applying to as many places as I can even though the job hunt has been really discouraging for me with all the rejections.
