Yeah so my friend, we'll call him Dave, has been working for this Federally contracted gig (rhymes with Wackimus General) for something like over 5 years. Dave's had a good attendance record & excellent performance reviews from supervisors and consumers alike. The company recently was awarded a contract renewal for the next 9 years. To celebrate they want to give everyone a free company t-shirt (useless)! Then he tells me this week they sent an email to everyone stating that the company Health & Welfare increase went from $4.23 to $4.41. -_-
Honestly it's infuriating. Dave puts up with people complaining, screaming & cursing literally every week. Not to mention the job gets ridiculously busy around the holidays due to their precious enrollment time frame. Twice this year they failed to pay their employees on time, Dave came to me in tears the second time it happened. They even have their employees work mandatory shifts and weekends annually, putting up with hundreds of rules/ procedures. And what do they have to show for it? an .18 cent increase for their health & wellness contribution….
Fuck Wackimus General, Capitalism, and any company/person who thinks this is fair. No wonder the retention rates for this place are horrible. Who wants to put up with this bs? Dave my pal, if you see this; Know that you are awesome and deserve better for yourself and the family you support with your income.
