This feels like a trap question…

In a job interview, is there a good answer (or answer that you would use) for the question: “Vacation and holidays aside, how many days in a year are acceptable for a person to call out – sickness, kids, emergencies, doctors appointments, etc?” I feel like saying 0 is a bald faced lie, and anything over 0 is too much and sets the expectation that you’re gonna call out that many times. Sounds like a trap, feels like a trap to me. This was a question following some digging on my interviewer’s end on why I had ran out of leave at one of my past positions (I had a miscarriage – almost passed out from hemorrhaging, and was out of work for 5 weeks). Then he inserted quoted question above and I was thrown off tbh
