Former boss who broke multiple labor laws begging to rehire a friend. One of their coworkers who also quit had to go back there because employer didn't track hours so they couldn't get unemployment.
Friend got it, especially after informing, with proof, that boss was taking wages to replace losses. However, they've been having trouble finding work again, and the boss is begging for them to come back.
Friend and I agree the only possible way is if it's a damn good deal and breaking it would fuck the employer to hell and back.
So what's the best way to get a contract for pay, hours, benefits, etc, drawn up and make sure it's tight, especially without a lawyer on hand to help?
