Selling company laptop?

Has anyone ever sold their employer given, company laptop after being fired? I do IT consulting work for fortune 100s (W2 remote). They give me a company laptop. Currently I have two. My last two clients were complete stooges. Toxic workplace, discrimination, etc etc. Fired by both (TLDR). What I’m wondering is, has anyone ever sold their corporate laptop after being fired? Would anyone actually buy it? I’m thinking either hobbyists who need spare parts for custom builds or mom and pop computer repair shops. All the software is owned by the company and operating system would need some tweaking as well. I just think it would be the ultimate middle finger move. And yes I realize it’s both illegal and unethical.
