I went through 3 interview rounds. I quit my micromanaged job as the new company I was interviewing at really hyped me up and made me think I was going to get it. They had two positions open. It's sales and if anyone knows sales then they know that really good salespeople are hard to come by. I am one of those hard to come by persons. All 3 interview rounds I got great feedback and on my last one I asked the COO if he thought I would be a good fit. He told me he definitely thought so. My potential boss who was my second interview went great as well. She invited me out to lunch and said she couldn't hire anyone until she met them in person. This was after an hour zoom interview (one where she didn't show up and I had to call to remind her). Well she didn't show up to the lunch meeting she herself made with me either. She said, after I reached out, that she was sorry and she would call to reschedule with me. It's been a week. I sent her a message politely asking when I would hear if I got the position or not and that I couldn't go much longer without a job. She sent me a message back telling me that I did not get the interview. I then sent her a message asking for feedback for future interviews. She says that HR will have to let me know and that it would be one to two weeks before they reached out. What a load of crap!
