4 to 5 months ago I was promised a promotion and raise that would go into effect this month which is start of the new business year. Today I followed up and was told it’s on hold now because of how bad the economy has turned. This is a company that over the past 2.5 years made record profits.Apparently for the new fiscal year, they drastically cut the budget because they forecast 2023 to be a terrible financial year. To me, it’s total BS. Corporations are using this as an excuse to keep on milking their workers and sucking in every dollar they possibly can. Don’t believe this recession crap. It’s going to be the new excuse employers use to justify the shaft we are getting from them because of their greed.
