Nothing like a natural disaster for a company to show their true colors!

As many of you know, Florida was hit by Hurricane Ian 6 days ago. I work for a large company in the area who has not offered any services to it's employees other than you can come sit in the air conditioned lobby and use the wifi. They wouldn't even let me park my car in the empty garage so it didn't get flooded at my apartment. Today, my corporate office sent an email saying how devastating the storm was but the main headquarters was not damaged. Then another email was sent requesting volunteers (read unpaid) to work at our retail locations. Not in lieu of our regular jobs but in addition to our regular jobs. Schools are closed for the foreseeable future, traffic lights are out, there are long lines for gas, thousands still don't have power or water and they want us to volunteer to make money for…

Up until now I've been very happy working here but this has left me and everyone I work with pissed off 🙁
