One of my friends is a student worker and has not been paid for work that dates as far back as August. Because she is an employee for the state university, she is considered a government employee. Based on what I have read on Wage Complaints in NY State, it doesn’t sound like she is eligible to file a complaint for late wages because she is a government employee. Is there anything she can do to seek action as a result of her not receiving wages for work done?
