- she just walks out of the lab and nobody gets on her ass for it. I think she might see me as a nice guy. I try to avoid her and I never join the coworkers for social activities because they can gaslight or perpetuate criticism. I eat my sandwich at breaktime with a rest.
- the rotor finishes spinning the samples to get a fluid for the analytes and beeps before the specimen receptionist loads it up again. Someone has to man the bench itself to unload the samples.
- Should I: A) take out the blue buckets with the samples from the rotation device and leave them to return to my own work
- B) Load the urgent samples from the centrifuge and load them on for her because they have a quick need of results
- C) As a basic grade risk my senior coworkers think I am difficult if I ask why she goes for so many phone breaks.
- If I approach her, she is a woman and I'm a guy. She will cause drama is my worry. This place is a public sector job. I am training aswell as doing my own work so it does get busy.
- I am hoping the seniors will get on her ass it is not ok. She is incredibly socially connected around the lab and I worked with someone similar who brought drama.
- This is exactly why I would like a remote working day. Even just one day from home yet in a lab if your not senior w/ a masters, even then, the stem companies suck that they produce analysers that would not allow to ssh into them remotely to do the statistics etc.
- Labs should all follow a remote working system aswell. Like who wants to tolerate xyz from their coworkers and in an open office of 2 labs. It gets loud. I will bring some headphones when I buy them.
Conclusion: Destroy my limiting beliefs about what I should do. The seniors tend to ngaf and just do their own work. I don't want to overwork myself when commission on the job is not encouraged or even a bonus. It is too quick in a 9 to 5 work. English is not my first language.
