I am a young employee (less than 3 years of experience). We are a small team of 2 employees in our department and 1 manager.
Our manager arrived shortly after me. He is a consultant. He is the husband of a director and it was supposed to be temporary but it is not.
The problem is that this manager always changes his mind about the instructions and always changes our work. It's never good enough. On top of that, he sometimes puts us down and makes passive-aggressive comments.
We never really know who to talk to about this with my colleague, especially because of his “husband of…” status.
Today, my psychologist told me that I was starting to have the first symptoms of burnout (only due to my toxic manager, everything else is fine). She told me that I should consider making a complaint to HR and going on sick leave if I wanted to.
This is my first job and I don't know what I should do to get my complaint taken into consideration (especially given the status of my manager).
How should I proceed? What should I include? (I am in Europa)
tl;dr : I am having a burnout because of my toxic manager, my psychologist tells me to complain to HR. How do I do this? What should I include?
