Dear Employers

(copied over from my linked in profile, I think it fits here better than anywhere else.) Dear Hiring managers/Talent Scouts, Consider removing the background and Mental health red flags from your application filter. there are plenty of people looking for work every day who are willing to work harder than others just for a base job. People need second chances. Even people with Disabilities are capable of working, YOU have to ask them what their disability is in order to determine if they are capable of performing the job you have available! Instantly disqualifying people who Earnestly need work and apply for dozens of jobs a day because of these 2 things means you are looking for perfection where it shan't ever exist. Dear Hiring managers/Talent Scouts,

Consider removing the background and Mental health red flags from your application filter. there are plenty of people looking for work every day who are willing to work harder than others just for a base job.

Your applicants are Human, some made mistakes, some have deformities, some have mental health issues, BUT they are human and need to be treated FAIRLY.

YOU Can't find Employees because you set the wages at a standard for the whole country instead of for the local areas. If the living costs for my area are about 30-40,000 a year, why would I settle for a $10/hr job with no benefits and 60 hour work weeks? it's unreasonable. I would still need a second job to afford living, and I would have no time for another job for less than the area's standard of living.

YOU also can't find employees because you want them to come with experience and training already in hand. Be realistic. You're going to need to train people for their positions, and then treat them fairly by wage and living standards. they are Human's who need personal lives as much as work. If you expect to drag people back into work on Every day off they get, they won't stay long, that is a toxic work environment.

And finally, YOU can't find quality candidates because you set the requirements too high (entry level). I don't know why someone need's a financial degree and 6 years of experience for a packing labor job in a warehouse… maybe you copy paste the same entry over and over again, but if your application filter reflects this, then no one will ever qualify. A lot of people need experience to work but can't get experience without work.

I averaged 1 Interview per 30 applications, with a total of 5 phone calls and 2 in person interviews for people to decide that they wanted a perfect candidate without a background. I always told them I am willing to work, I am willing to learn, I only need the Sabbath Day off. I don't think I'm the problem at this point.
