A while back I had been working nights at a hospital lab for a few years. I was miserable, depressed, and hated it. I was sick of waiting for a day job to open up so started applying outside the lab. I found a job I was almost qualified for, on days, didn't include weekends, looked great! During the interview, they asked me why I wanted the job. I literally started looking for a job to get off nights. ThAT WaS the ONLy REasOn!! And they took my reason off the table because what? It's not good enough to want a day job? Why is that not a reason to change jobs? What kind of reasons are they expecting, some bullshit answer about opportunity and personal growth? Well, no, that was my reason and I laughed and said, well yeah. Fuck em. I have a day job now and it's great.
