Rats leaving a sinking ship.

There are 3 organisations. I previously worked at 'L'. L has a turnover of £100 mil. There are 2 sister companies 'P' and 'T'. They both are in the same industry, but cover slightly different territories. 'P' and 'T' have turnovers of over £500 mil each. So around 5 times larger than 'L'. 'L' has encouraged people to work longer hours (unpaid), made promises which they don't answer. Offer below industry salaries and pension plans whenever they can get away with it.

Now, out of 15 of us in my team, in the last 12 months.

Out of 4 senior managers, 2 have left, One working for 'P' the other working for 'T'

Out of the middle managers/technical staff. Two have left for 'P', another (me) for 'T'.

Out of the Junior staff, another has left for 'P'.

Out of the remaining staff. One is on long term sick for stress, Two are on performance improvement plans. Another manager tried to leave, but had the director call them asking them to stay. She then felt she couldn't go to an interview as she might not get it. Another one of the Junior team is looking for jobs.

So, out of entire team, the amount of staff who aren't looking for jobs, aren't sick and aren't on work performance plan is 5 out of 14. Half of which are serious managers and on 3 to 4 times the amount I'm on. Another one has 2 years to retire.

That's pretty shit isn't it?
