I live in the state of kentucky and am 17 so if still learning about government and work and laws. Well the other day I learned that my state is what's called “not a union friendly state.” Basically unions are illegal in my state. My teacher told me that teachers are not allowed to have unions and the state just doesn't allow it. Seems stupid to me.
